March Guide Service Special
Anytime in March
Full Day Guided Fly Fishing Trip on the
Yakima River
$225.
Come fish the Yakima River anytime in March for the special price of $225 for the boat - fishing either one or two anglers.
March is a great time to fish the upper Yakima River as the flows are typically low and clear. March is also Skwala Stonefly season, the first major stonefly hatch of the year. Dry fly fishing is a strong possibility in the latter part of the month with hatches of skwalas, midges, March brown duns, and possibly blue wing olives. What's really cool about fishing the Yakima River in March is that large, mature fish will migrate to the upper waters and congregate in pods. It's not uncommon to find several or more rainbows over 20 inches hanging in the same run.
We usually only offer this special at the Fly Fishing Show in Bellevue. Since there will be no show this year, we ask that people book by March 1.
Please bring your own lunch and pick up some flies at the fly shop in Cle Elum for the day.
Our full day guided fly fishing trips typically meet at the fly shop in Cle Elum by 9 AM. We then leave from the shop to the river and fish until between 6 and 7 PM.
Our March special is usually very popular, so please call the fly shop to reserve your date.
